University friends gathering

Met up with my University friends for dinner yesterday evening.. Melvin, Vincent, Jackson, Zexiong and Zongjie were all there for the gathering.. Had dinner at 15Minutes in LaSalle.. After dinner, Melvin and Zongjie had to leave first.. The rest of us then proceeded to a nearby Italian cafe for some white wine.. Then we went to the nearby soya bean stall to get some soya bean drinks.. Jackson then drove us home after that.

It's been one year plus since I last met up with them.. Time flies.. I have been quite close to them since our uni first year.. Throughout our four years in uni, we have remained in contact even though we were in different classes at times.. I still remember the times where we always arrange to go out together after all our exams ended.. Life in uni was good with their support and company.. Thinking back, life in uni would have been so different without them..

1 year plus down the road, everyone now is busy with work.. Jackson is also busy with his preparation for his wedding.. At this thought, it dawned on me that we are not young anymore.. Haha..

All in all, it's good that we found time to meet up.. Hopefully we'll still be able to find time to meet up again in future...

Met up with Chelsa, Eric, Lawrence, Patrick and Emer for our guild gathering just now.. Met up with Chelsa, Eric and Lawrence first at Plaza Singapura.. Chelsa and Eric brought baby Raphael along.. Went to the hong kong cafe in Plaza Singapura for some food.. After which, Eric brought baby Raphael home first while the rest of us headed to Clarke Quay..

Patrick and Emer joined us at Clarke Quay and we went to play pool.. Eric came back to join us after bringing baby Raphael back home to let his parents look after.. After pool, we went for some bak kut teh before going home...

Chelsa gave birth to a baby boy on Friday night.. Bernard and I decided to go visit her today.. Bernard drove both of us to Mount Alvernia Hospital where Chelsa is currently staying at.. Only Chelsa and Eric were there, together with baby raphael.. Hearing Chelsa relate her experience when giving birth, I can't help but respect a mother's love for her child.. And the birth of a new life is indeed amazing..

D & D

Went for my company's D & D just now at Swissotel Raffles.. It started at around 6:30pm and ended close to midnight.. Tried to see if I can catch the last train back, but it has already left.. Decided to try my luck with the buses.. Boarded a bus headed towards Ang Mo Kio.. But halfway through the trip, we discovered that the bus does not loop back to Ang Mo Kio.. Had to get off the bus at its terminal stop..

There was another lady who boarded the same bus as me thinking that it goes to Ang Mo Kio.. After alighting at the bus' terminal stop, we decided to share cab back since we are living quite close to each other..

The D & D was quite fun.. But it is a pity it ended a little too late...

Met up with Chelsa and my ice princess for dinner yesterday at Jurong point... Finally got a chance to meet up with my ice princess.. Actually, I was supposed to meet up with them last Monday, but my ice princess was not feeling well.. But I really have to thank Chelsa for providing me the chance to meet up with my ice princess by suggesting that we meet up for dinner yesterday evening...

Met up at Jurong Point's Pizza Hut at around 6.30pm yesterday evening for dinner.. After our dinner, we bought some bubble tea and then walk around Jurong Point... Spent some time shopping around Jurong point before going home at around 9.30pm...

Was glad to have a chance to meet up with my ice princess... For once, I felt comfortable being around with the girl I like... Hope to get more chances to meet up with her in future... ^^

After the chat last night, I realised my ice princess has a lot of fears and concerns about the future.. It's heartbreaking to learn that she is feeling so stressed up.. Really hope to share her burden, but as of now, I am in no position to do that.. The only thing I can do for her is to give her my moral support and let her know that I will be there for her..

Valentine's Day

For all singles out there, I guess Valentine's Day is a just another ordinary day.. Maybe to some, it's a day whereby you see couples walking together hand-in-hand while you wonder when you're going to do the same.. I guess it did help that this year's Valentine's Day coincides with Chinese New Year.. The emphasis seems to be more on Chinese New Year than Valentine's Day...

What have I done this Valentine's Day?? Well.. I guess nothing much.. The only significant thing I did was to MMS my ice princess a picture of a rose which I've made for her.. Since I can't give her real roses directly, I guess this was the next best thing which I could have done.. It's not easy to make the rose, since I don't really have a flair for handicraft.. But I guess the rose did turn out quite ok..

After sending the MMS, I began to wonder if this is a very obvious hint to her that I like her.. But in the end, I guess it wasn't.. I'm really not sure if it's a good thing that she doesn't catch my hint every time.. Well.. I guess maybe it is a good thing.. At least for now..

She is such a unique girl.. She doesn't seem to like things that normal girls would like.. Maybe that's what so special about her and maybe that's also what got me attracted to her.. I have to say that Celine left a very major impact on me last time.. I have this feeling that my ice princess will mean even more to me.. I can only hope that things will go well for us in future...

My ice princess "bullied" me today.. Nahh.. It's just another of our silly chats that we share between us.. She always complain jokingly that I bully her, cause I tease her a lot.. Perhaps teasing her is my form of communicating with her.. Lol... Today, I let her have her revenge.. She "threatened" not to talk to me for each wrong thing I said.. I know it's kind of silly.. But it's precisely such silly things that we share between us that makes my day.. She wanted a sweet from me, I MMS her a sweet.. Lol..

Coursemate gathering; Mixed feelings

Met up with my NTU coursemates Zongjie, Jackson, Zexiong, Vincent and Melvin for dinner yesterday.. Mey up at Brewerkz at Clark Quay for dinner.. Went back at around 11pm..

Over the last few days, I was pondering over whether my ice princess realised my feelings for her.. This is because we seemed to be chatting less over the last few days.. Did she realise my feelings for her?? Or was she just busy?? If she realised my feelings for her and reacted this way, does it mean that I don't stand a chance??

Things somehow went back to normal today.. I initiated a conversation with her today, and found out that she was very angry over something that happened in school.. So much so that she was on the verge of crying.. On hearing this, I feel pain in my heart.. How I wish I could be there to comfort her.. I did try to cheer her up and I think I managed to do so to an extent.. Towards the end of our conversation, I think she's back to her normal self..

With regards to whether she realised myfeelings for her, the answer is 'no'.. I realised that I've set myself up in such a situation that makes it hard for me to reveal my feeings to her.. This is because I keep teasing her and joking with her, resulting in a situation whereby anything that I wanted to say in a serious manner will somewhat end up like a joke.. I don't know whether this is a good thing or not.. But at least now we're back to chatting freely.. I guess in that, it' a good thing... Will try to take things slowly from there...

Although I've met up with some of them at different points of time, the 5 of us have never met up together for quite some time.. So, it was great that we finally found time to meet up together..

I think my ice princess is more important to me than I thought.. Playing Cabal used to occupy most of my time during the weekends.. It's something that I used to pass my time while I'm at home.. But recently, I found out that my purpose of playing Cabal nowadays is to hopefully see my ice princess online and chat with her..

During the last weekend, I didn't see her online in Cabal.. As such, I seem to have lost my motivation to train in Cabal.. I missed her..

She came to chat with me this morning though, and this lifted my spirits..

Chatted with yoyo in-game till 1am last night.. After that chat last night, I realised a few things.. From now on, I will call yoyo 'my ice princess'.. This is because I found out that she is just like a mountain of ice.. It will take a tremendous effort in order to melt her heart..

With thanks to my dear old friend, Kien Wei, I did part of what you have told me.. I didn't really do exactly as what you have told me.. Reason is my ice princess is really very different.. Doing so will not help matters.. But thanks again for your input..

I realised that my ice princess is not ready for relationships.. Asking her out will result in a straight rejection.. So I guess that's out of the question for now..

After chatting with her, I found myself calmer than ever.. I seem to have found the feeling I had at the very beginning when I fell for a girl.. It's such a pure and innocent feeling.. Although I'm sure it will be a very hard road ahead for me, somehow, I have rediscovered the courage to go on.. This time round, the fear of rejection seemed to have taken a backseat.. I don't seem to mind going through another heartache even if things don't go well.. Perhaps this time round, I've really found the girl whom I am willing to sacrifice for..

Chatted with her in-game till 2am last night.. I just don't seem to get tired talking to her.. Perhaps it's because we have many things in common.. We were chatting and somehow we came to a discussion about our take on relationships.. She was telling me that as a guy, I should not be afraid of failure and let the girl I like know when I have the chance.. It's kind of ironic, since the girl I like is telling me what to do when faced with such situations..

I guess I wouldn't go on anymore.. But it's really a sweet feeling being able to chat with her.. ^^

The Last "Crazy" Thing Done on the Last Day of 2009

I did a crazy thing on the last day of 2009.. I actually told the sister of the girl I like that I like her sister.. Sounds complicated?? For now, let's call this girl whom I like yoyo.. On the last day of 2009, I actually told yoyo's sister that I like yoyo.. I guess this is more clear now??

Yea.. I did that.. I did just that.. Perhaps I wouldn't say I told her directly.. Just that we were chatting on msn that day, and I already suspected that she somehow felt that I like her sister.. Cause she was asking me a day back whether my msn personal message was referring to her sister.. I tried to ask her why she said that, but ended up reveling my feelings for her sister to her.. I am such a failure.. Haha... But in a way, the feelings were bottled up inside of me for some time.. So this happened to let me get it off my chest..

I was afraid what her reaction would be like after I told her this.. As expected, she told me she somehow already felt that I have fallen for her sister.. She said she wouldn't try to stop or help me, and said that I will have to depend on myself.. It's true.. I will have to depend on myself for this.. But at least she said she hoped to hear good news from me.. ^^

Maybe a bit on yoyo.. So far, we've chatted mostly on msn and in-game.. I don't know when I started developing feelings for her.. Cause I really didn't realise it until some time back.. Maybe because we have many things in common.. Maybe it's something else.. But the feeling is very special to me.. I've only met her once in person on 25th December.. So I guess I can safely say it's not based on looks.. My feelings for her developed before I met her in person.. Maybe people will say I'm not being practical when I fall in love for someone I never met before until recently.. But all I can say is, sometimes, feelings cannot be controlled.. As least for me...

Not all things are going smoothly as far I can say.. The biggest obstacle is perhaps our age.. She is 6 years younger than me.. I know in this time and age, age difference might not mean much to people in love.. But I can't help but feel that I will be shortchanging her if we are to be together one day.. I know it sounds stupid.. But maybe because I usually put people before myself, and hence, I can't help but feel this way.. But I'm sure I wouldn't mind if she doesn't mind either..

Another obstacle is our character.. I said we have many things in common, and this includes our character.. Both of us happen to be passive people.. And this means that I will find it hard to make a first move, and she might also find it hard to accept something if it is too sudden.. I guess I'll have to find a solution to this..

I guess that's all I can say for now.. Hope things will work for the better this time round.. ^^

Referring back to my post on 25th April 2009 titled "Lost", I think she has forgotten about me.. Throughout these few months, I did not really dare harbour any hopes of her still remembering me.. I tried to think maybe it's because she doesn't log in to her facebook, that's why she didn't see my friend request.. But I guess I was wrong.. I saw her new facebook pic not too long ago and it was a photo of her with a guy.. I guess she did log in after all.. So that only means she has forgotten about me..

Actually, I sort of expected this scenario all along.. So I tried my best not to think too much.. In fact, I did not really think about relationship issues these few months.. But somehow, something really unexpected happen.. I seem to have fallen for someone whom I never met face-to-face until last night.. I don't know how it happened, or even when it happened.. It is something so unsure.. I can't really put it down in words.. But again, I'm sure this feeling will be full of obstacles.. The future is yet to be seen.. Really hope this time round it's something for the better...

Finish my core papers on 17th April.. After the paper on that day, me, Vincent, Jackson and Zexiong went to Mirama Hotel for some Hong Kong Dim Sum buffet.. After that, we went to Park Lane to play some LAN games.. Played Left4Dead and also a round of DoTA.. Went home after that..

Finished all my exams on 23rd April..

I'm feeling kind of lost.. Much due to yesterday.. I came across her profile on Facebook last night.. Kind of gave me some mixed feelings.. Was happy because I have found a way of maintaining contact with her after so long.. But on the other hand, I was also wondering if she still remember me after so long.. A lot of things could also have happened in this long period of time..

Seem to have a lot on my mind.. But finding it hard to put down into words.. I guess I'll let Fate decide again what is in store for me...

Gun Kiat left after dinner as he was meeting his friends.. Kien Wei And I then proceeded to Suntec City for a walk.. Went home at around 8.15pm..

GV17 Final Session

Today is the final session for my GV17 module.. The last session today is also the session for us to present our group presentation.. I guess overall the presentation went quite smoothly..

Time flies and in a blink of the eye, I've reached the end of the module.. Had a lot of fun during the course of the module.. Kind of miss the times we have spent together as a class.. I've really learnt a lot from the teachings of Miss Leona..

It's kind of sad.. But I guess it's part and parcel of life for everything to come to an end.. But I'm glad I have wonderful memories of the module.. ^^

GV17 Presentation 2

My blog is collecting dust.. No choice though.. There's really nothing much to update.. My life revolves around the same few things recently.. School, FYP, home, WoKF..

The only more significant event was the GV17 Presentation 2 yesterday.. Sang the duet "All I Ask of You" with Cecilia.. Overall no major issues with the presentation, except maybe, like what Miss Leona said, my movements being a little unnatural.. Can't really help it.. I'm not used to coordinating my body to specific movements while singing..

But overall, I'm satisfied with my own performance for this presentation...

GV17 Presentation 1

Had my GV17 Presentation 1 today.. After much consideration, I decided to sing 非你莫属.. Firstly, it's because I didn't really have much time to prepare a good song to sing.. And since I have sung the song before, it is much easier for me to sing it again.. Secondly, the song is within my vocal range, and so I thought it was a good idea to use that song for my first presentation..

Not too many problems singing the song.. Maybe some slight issues with my interchanging to my falsetto.. But the comments I received were rather encouraging..

It's been some time since I sang in front of so many people.. ^^

Met up with my primary school friends Joanne, Sian Tien and Xuting for a KTV session.. This session is also meant to celebrate Sian Tien's birthday.. Was originally planned to go to Marina Square KBox, but due to a lack of vacancies, we settled for AMK KBox instead..

First time listening to Xuting sing, and I must say she's really good.. My voice today was in a rather bad condition, and I feel that I didn't manage to hit some of the higher notes today.. Managed to sing some duets with Xuting, but was rather disappointed that I couldn't reach my normal standards today.. The quality of my voice got better after singing for some time, but since Xuting had to leave early, I didn't really get many chances to duet with her after my voice turn for the better.. Fortunately, she requested to sing 'Shan Hu Hai' as her last song before she left..And I think that was one of the few better duets I had with her today..

It's great to be able to find a gal that I can duet with comfortably...

Started my Industrial Attachment yesterday.. Don't know whether to say I was busy or not for the first 2 days.. Not really busy in the sense that I have not really started on the main project yet.. But on the other hand, I've been rather busy reading up on the different programming stuff I need to learn in order to do my part well in the project.. As such, I have been using the past 2 days to read up on PERL, PHP, MySQL, UNIX, and LINUX..

I believe this will be a rather fruitful Industrial Attachment for me...

After that, we went to Queensway Shopping Centre for a walk.. Weiming bought a pair of shoes over there.. Took a seat at the foodcentre near there before heading home.. Met Jingwen's friend, Sandra, at the food centre..

KTV and Dinner

Met up with a group of friends yesterday (I won't go into details as to who they are for now).. There is a total of 6 of us yesterday, consisting of 2 couples, a single female, and a single male (which is me)... I guess that's a rather strange description, but that was how things were yesterday...

Met up for KTV at this place called "Ten Dollars Club" at Chinatown.. Sang KTV from 2pm to 7pm.. After that we went to Yuki Yaki at Marina Square for Dinner.. Finished dinner at around 10:30pm.. Went to Harry's at the Esplanade for a drink after that.. Chatted there until around 12:15am before leaving for home.. Finally reached home at around 1:15am..

Yesterday was another fine day, cause I got to see her again.. I guess yesterday's outing was a rather unique one, cause she and me were the odd ones out in the midst of the two couples.. Not that I mind though..

Actually, something special happened yesterday.. It was like a page taken out of a plot from a drama.. Being rather bad at socialising, I didn't really manage to make use of the opportunities presented to me to talk to her.. Then something happened on our way to Marina Square.. We were on our way down to the platform of Chinatown MRT when the MRT came.. The 2 couples were in front, followed by me, then her.. The 2 couples managed to board the MRT, and I was also about to make it.. But knowing she was behind me, I turned around to see if she can make it.. When I turned back, the MRT door closed right in front of me, leaving both of us stranded while the rest of them were in the MRT.. With the 2 of us left there waiting for the next MRT, I finally have the chance to talk to her properly.. I have to admit that at that time, I was really hoping that the next MRT would not come so soon.. But I was grateful for this opportunity presented to me.. Not that anyone planned this.. It just happened.. But at least I got to speak to her during that short period of time..

Although we are nothing more than friends at this moment, I really feel so happy to see her again.. Not sure when I will have another chance to see her again though.. But when that time arrives, I'm sure I will be very delighted...

It was great to meet up with all of them, especially after our exams.. After dinner, Jingwen and Weiqi left.. The rest of us took a walk around Plaza Singapura before going to Ice Monster for some dessert.. Went home after that..

Composing

Went for Geyong activity with Qichuan yesterday.. Yesterday's session was on composing.. Frankly speaking, I had gone through 2 such sessions over the past 2 years, conducted by Melvin in my first year, and Kok Song in my second year.. Yesterday's instructor was Xiao Yuan (I think that's her name, if I don't remember wrongly)..

Her approach was quite different from what I have learnt from Melvin and Kok Song.. But overall, I think I have gained from the session yesterday..

On our way out after the session yesterday, I was discussing with Qichuan about composing.. I decided to let him listen to one of the songs which I have tried to composed.. I was apprehensive about my song, but he told me it was not bad.. He even said he can help me fill in the chords.. That would be great, cause I really have problems filling in the chords to songs due to my lack of musical background..

It would be great to collaborate with Qichuan.. Cause out of all the instrumentalists I have worked with throughtout the 2 years in Geyong, I seemed to be more comfortable working with him.. Hope that we can get some good results out of the collaboration..

Badminton; KTV

After lunch, we went back to Weiming's house to play PS2.. Left Weiming's house for Plaza Singapura as we were meeting Gun Kiat for Dinner.. Had our dinner at Plaza Singapura.. Walked around Plaza Singapura area before going home..

Guess I haven't been updating my blog for quite some time.. Well.. I guess there isn't really much for me to blog about either.. My daily life is now back to the cycle of lectures, tutorials, labs, and more labs..

Went for my first Geyong session last Friday.. This wasn't the first official Geyong session, even though it was my first time going this semester.. Finally have the time to go for the activities.. I guess Geyong has become part of my Uni life.. Something seems to be missing if I do not go for the activities..

Last Friday was actually the audition for the upcoming poerformances.. Since I don't see the need to take part in such autions again (don't know how many times I have taken part in such auditions already), I was there to see and enjoy the singing of the new people over there.. I must say I'm really impressed with some of them.. In particular, 2 girls caught my attention with their singing.. 1 of them sang 什么都舍得 by Penny Dai, while the other sang 逆光 by Stefanie Sun.. The one who sang 什么都舍得 has a very nice deep voice.. Stark contrast to that of Penny Dai's.. But a refreshing way of singing the song.. Really enjoyed her rendition of the song.. On the other hand, the one who sang 逆光 has a very clean and bright voice.. Did very well singing the song too.. I guess overall, the girls outshine the guys this time round..

Hope to attend more Geyong sessions in future..

It has been some time since I last exercised.. Felt good after the exercise.. But was left with sore muscles when I woke up this morning.. Nevertheless, it was great to play basketball and badminton with them again..

Played Dungeon Runners with Kien Wei last night.. It's so much better having someone to play the game together with me, rather than myself exploring the place on my own..

Hope to see all of them again.. But most probably, it will have to wait until the next holidays we have...

Although there were some minor pitching glitches, my performance today was much better than any of my other rehearsals.. Official last day of Japanese lessons

1st Rehearsal

Will be performing at 爱琴海 Music Cafe, Marina Square on 21/07/07.. This will be the second time I'll be performing there.. The first time was last year.. Had our first rehearsal at Music Story yesterday..

Will be singing 非你莫属 and 小情歌.. Will be singing 非你莫属 on my own and 小情歌 with Kok Song.. Was originally only planning to sing 非你莫属.. But Kok Song said that since 苏打绿 is our guest performer for Music Express 13, he was hoping that someone can sing 小情歌.. In the end, after much deliberation, our keyboardist, Melvin decided that both Kok Song and I should sing the song together.. The key we decided on is lower than the original key.. So it's a little below my normal range.. But the original key is a little too high.. So I guess this is the best we can do..

Will need to go and memorise the lyrics of 小情歌 .. Before the next rehearsal on Monday...

Last Quarter & Mikazuki

Watched "Last Quarter" today.. Took great pains to find the DVD.. Finally found it at the VCD shop in Funan late last year.. Did not have the time to watch through the whole DVD until today.. Finally, on such a day, 07/07/07, I managed to watch the movie in full..

I don't think I'm qualified to comment on the movie, cause I seldom watch movies, and so I'm not a good critic of movies.. But in my opinion, the movie was great.. The mood was melancholic.. But the story was touching.. I'm not going to go into details about the movie.. But I must say I'm touched by Adam's love for Sayaka in the movie..

The movie left me with mixed feelings.. Perhaps this was intended.. But I'm already filled with mixed feelings.. Watching the movies filled me with more mixed feelings.. But somehow, I thrive on melancholy.. Melancholy seems to be the emotion which I connect with most.. It's strange...

Why am I having mixed feelings?? It's because of the MSN conversation I had with M on Thursday night.. During that conversation, she volunteered to offer me advice if I ever decide to go after a girl.. This is so contradictory.. Imagine her giving me advice on how to go after herself.. This is so contradictory..

The song "The Cape of Storms" still lingers on my mind.. This is the song that Adam wrote for Sayaka in the movie.. A touching song, sang by HYDE (who happens to be Adam in the movie).. The song is in my blog's playlist.. This is the Last Quarter mix of the song..

Really hope to learn how to play the song.. Too bad I'm not versed in the piano.. But still, I hope to play the song one day...

I'm currently learning how to play the song "Mikazuki" by Ayaka.. Another nice song.. Happen to come across a clip showing how to play the song while browsing through youtube yesterday.. Decided to give it a try since I like the song.. Hopefully I can play the song on acoustic guitar soon.. I've also added the song to my playlist..

It had been 1 week.. Yet, M is still in my mind.. I guess I'm quite certain about my feelings for her now.. I have fallen for her.. Even though we might not really know each other that well, I must admit I have really fallen for her..

Actually, my feelings for her started as early as December last year.. Was chatting with Kien Wei last night after he read my post.. He was asking me if this was just a crush.. I must admit I was stumped for a moment when he asked me this.. I did not thought of this feeling as that of a crush.. Hence, I didn't really give it much thought as to whether it was a crush.. But it didn't take me more than a minute to dismiss this feeling as a crush.. I know better.. This is more than a crush.. It's a feeling I can't really explain.. Love at first sight?? Maybe..

Went back to my previous posts to confirm my own thoughts.. Looking back at my last post for 2006, I can safely declare that it is really love at first sight.. I agree with Kien Wei when he said that it is not my nature to believe in love at first sight.. I do admit that I never really believed in love at first sight.. But I have to say that she is the first girl that let me experience love at first sight.. Take a look at my last post for 2006 to see what I mean..

M means a lot to me now.. I have tried to dismiss my feelings for her as I thought she was attached at that moment.. But every time I see her, I feel this pain in my heart.. The pain of not being able to be together with someone I love.. It's strange, considering the fact that I don't really know her that well.. But somehow, this feeling is so strong in my heart..

I can't just give up without trying, even though it might very well be another trap set by Fate.. I apologise again for being so sceptical.. But things seemed to be so smooth up to this moment.. I'm still as lost as yesterday.. Things seem to happen so fast.. I still can't decide if I can accept what is going on.. Somehow, I can't help but doubt that this is the start of another cruel joke by Fate.. Perhaps I had fallen prey to Fate's jokes too many a time.. Perhaps I am being scarred by previous failures.. But I found things a little too unexpected.. Never did I expect my friend to mention M in our conversation.. And never did I expect to find that M was single.. It just seemed too easy.. So easy to the point that I am beginning to doubt whether this is another trap set by Fate..

I'm sorry if I appear too sceptical.. Cause after all that I have been through, I can't help but think this way.. There's too much at stake here.. If I ever confess my feelings to her one day, I might just lose everything if things go in the negative direction.. I might lose a friend, risk having my confidence shattered again, risk becoming more and more sceptical, and also losing faith in relationships.. There's just too much at stake.. But still I am not willing to give up just like that.. Not many girls can invoke such a pain in me.. I just can't give up like that..

Doesn't matter if this is again a joke by Fate.. I just can't bear to give up like that.. I am willing to believe this one more time.. I don't know what to write for the title of today's post.. Cause I'm still in quite a daze.. But first of all, I guess I will start off with updates on what I have been doing..

I have been attending Japanese Level 1 lessons in school for the past 1 week.. The course is really interesting.. And I have learnt a lot.. I felt that I was back to Primary School learning the language.. Cause we need to learn the words one by one.. And we have spelling every day.. Homework every day too.. But it was really fun...

Next.. I was chatting with one of my friends on MSN just now.. Then she dropped me a bombshell.. We were chatting and out of nowhere, she mentioned "the girl".. Let me call her M.. Through my friend, I found out that M was single.. Or should I say she broke up with her bf some time ago.. At that instance, I was caught in a daze.. Apparently, the thing that bothered me the most was actually my own imagination.. Imagination seems not to be the correct word here.. But I can't think of a better word at this moment.. My mind is in a mess.. I felt sad for her, but at the same time, I was quite surprised to find out that she is single.. This meant that I was worrying over nothing when I thought she was happily attached.. What should I be feeling now???

Chatted with M over MSN just now.. This is my first time chatting with her through MSN.. So happy..

Has been slacking for close to a week now.. I guess it's good to take a rest before I go back for reservist in June.. After that, I will have to go back to school for my inter-semester studies..

Been trying to learn how to play DOTA for the past 2 days.. Knew the basics to the game.. But still quite a newbie to it.. Need to learn to play it in a more advanced manner.. Or else I wouldn't be able to survive the next time I play with my friends..

I guess the title of my post today seemed a little extreme.. But somehow, I guess this is the most appropriate title.. Reason is because this is the exact feeling I got at that very instance..

I was very happy when she added me as her friend on friendster yesterday.. But the instance whereby I found out she is already attached, I felt like I had dropped from heaven to hell.. There is so much in my heart at this moment.. But I’m really not sure what to say..

I guess she is the very first girl who actually made me believe the idea of “love at first sight”.. But I guess we’re just not fated to be together..

Actually, I haven’t really given up.. Reason is because I found out she was attached through her blog.. But her last post on her blog was like more than half a year ago.. So I’m not sure what’s the situation like at this moment.. But I believe I should give up soon.. Cause she mentioned in her blog that she is happily attached.. I believed she has found her happiness.. I should let go before I sink any deeper.. But it’s not going to be easy for me..

I guess I’m getting old.. I’m jaded at the thought of falling for different girls as I move on.. I want to experience true love.. Undying love… I thought she would be the one for me.. But I guess I was wrong..

I guess I’m being foolish over here.. Even though she is attached, my feelings for her is still there.. And I would choose to keep this feeling in my heart.. Is it foolish to be quietly waiting for something that is never going to be mine?? I’m not too sure either.. But I believe this is what true love should be like.. Unconditional love.. Just hoping that the other party would be happy.. Nevermind about myself.. Perhaps I’m being too idealistic here.. To the extent of foolish..

I don’t know how I should continue from here.. Sorry for being contradictory in my post for today.. A lot of paradoxes.. I’m just lost..

For now, I just hope she is happy…

My 1 week break is going to be over soon.. This past 1 week has been very tiring.. Went to school every day for DDP from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Thursday.. Friday was a half-day for us.. Spent the whole day in the lab trying to figure out how to design the micromouse.. Felt very tired physically and mentally after trying very hard to make the micromouse work.. For today, I have decided to give myself a short break.. School is going to start again next week..

Went to Sakae Sushi for lunch on Friday with Jackson, Vincent, Zongjie and Zexiong after our DDP session on friday.. It was great to have something good for lunch after 5 days of hard work..

My feelings for 'her' seemed to be still lingering in my heart.. The girl whom I mentioned in my last post for 2006.. Especially after I saw her again.. I guess she is in my heart.. Still is...

Update: SGSS Gathering

Haven't been updating for quite some time.. As usual, I was very busy with school work for the past few weeks.. In addition, besides school work, nothing much else was really interesting for me to blog about.. My mind was on labs, labs and more labs.. Much of my free time was spent in my school's laboratory, trying to deal with the many lab experiments..

Tomorrow is the start of the 1 week term break.. But there is not going to be any term break for me.. I have to go back to school every day from 8:30pm to 5:30pm to do my DDP.. We are supposed to put together a robotic mouse and perform various tasks with it.. Looks like this is not going to be easy..

Had a Primary School class gathering yesterday.. Went to Fish&Co at Douby Ghaut for the gathering.. Surprisingly, a lot of people turned up for the gathering.. A total of 16 people was the count for yesterday's gathering.. First time seeing some of them after so many years.. It seemed that the closing down of our Primary School has instead brought all of us together again.. But it was really great to see all of them again.. Also celebrated Xuting's birthday there as yesterday was also her birthday..

It's great seeing all of them again.. Hope to meet up with them again in future..

Lunchtime Concert

Performed for our annual Lunchtime Concert today.. The feel for today's concert seemed to be quite different compared to last year's.. I'm not taking about the feel of the concert; I talking about my own personal feel.. Somehow, I couldn't really get into the correct mood for the song.. I can only say that I gave a "safe" performance today..

Perhaps it was because I have been very busy these few days.. A lot of reports to rush.. A lot of labs to complete.. I guess all these affected my feel in a way.. Apart from a few lapses of rhythm at the start of the song, my performance was quite "safe"; no big errors in pitching, but no big breakthrough either.. It seemed to be a routine performance by me.. Somehow, I feel that my feel was not really at its best.. But I'm glad the song went smoothly.. Hope to improve more along the way..

Met up with 2 more friends who are interested in composing just now.. Hope that all of us can work together to write some songs in future...

Apple IPod Nano

Bought an Apple IPod Nano to replace my previous MP3 player today.. Since it would cost me $139 to get my previous MP3 player fixed, I guess it's better for me to get a new MP3 player.. After going through some reviews and getting some opinions from my sister and friends, I decided that the 2GB Apple IPod Nano would be the most suitable choice for me..

Bought it for $248.. Saw the Sony 6GB MP3 player selling for $250.. But I still decided to buy the IPod Nano because of its size and some other factors which I have taken into consideration..

With a smaller storage space, I guess I'll just put all my favourite songs into the Nano.. Hopefully the battery life is somewhere near its claimed battery life of 24hrs...

A partner for composing??

Met up with Suzanne today.. Suzanne is a friend whom I've just met through the S.O.F.T forum.. I put up a post looking for a partner for composing on the forum a few days ago, but I wasn't really expecting any replies, cause I believed it will be very difficult to find someone who is willing to compose the melody while I try to write the lyrics.. But to my surprise, I received an email from Suzanne saying that she is looking for a lyricist.. Hence, we decide to meet up today to discuss about the possible collaboration..

Met up at her home cause it would be very inconvenient for her to lug her keyboard around.. After listening to some of her compositions, I believe I should be able to come up with lyrics for her melodies.. Cause our direction in music seem to be the same.. I will try to fill in the lyrics for her melodies when my inspiration comes knocking..

Hope this will be the beginning of a great partnership...

Had a basketball session with Weiming, Gun Kiat and Kien Wei today.. Started playing basketball in the afternoon instead of our plan to do so in the morning.. But we did not really play for long.. Cause it's been such a long time since we last played basketball.. Our staminas are no more there..

After the game, we went for lunch before proceeding to Weiming's home to play some PS2 games.. Went home in the evening...

My first post for the year 2007 will be on the song "Loreley" by L'Arc~en~Ciel.. However, this song has a close connection with the girl I mentioned in my last post..

This song is from L'Arc~en~Ciel's "Heart" album, which was released in the year 1998.. Yea.. This song is around 8 years old.. But I really like this song.. Ever since I heard it a few days back, I told myself that this is a great song, and I must try to learn how to sing this song.. After reading through the translation of this song, I must admit I don't really comprehend what hyde wants to convey with this song.. But one thing is sure: The angst and loneliness can be heard through his voice.. I decided to search for intepretations of this song, and most of the interpretations I found reveal that this song is one that conveys loneliness.. But in summary, this song is a very beautiful song..

This song somewhat brings out the feeling I'm having now.. I hope to know the girl a little more, yet I don't have the confidence and courage to do so.. In the end, I feel so helpless and a sense of loneliness engulfed me.. But the real connection between this song and the girl is that whenever I listen to this song, memories of her seemed to fill my mind.. I can't explain this either.. It just comes to my mind..

Managed to send her a New Year sms wishing her Happy New Year last night.. Come to think of it, I'm not sure whether it was the right thing to do, and why I had the courage to do so.. Yet, I believe sometimes I do tend to do things in the spur of a moment.. But I'm not regretting though...
